Over Christmas break we went ice skating as a family. Los Alamos has the only outside ice rink in New Mexico. It was absolutely a beautiful night and it lightly snowed as we skated. Jaxson took two laps around with the "kiddie" walker and ditched it. He learns so quickly and was so determined to try this new sport. Maddox had no fear what so ever and wanted to go "all by myself!" the minute he saw the ice. You would not believe how good they both got by the end of the night! Jason and I had fun too. Jason's back got a little tired from bending over to direct Maddox through the ice skating traffic. It was a fun night filled with slips and falls (good thing Daddy packed our bike helmets!), initial fear (mommy), laughs, hot chocolate, and the cool ZAMBONI (the main attraction!)!
