A Dime a Dozen

If I had a dime a dozen for all the funny things my boys say....we would be rich or better yet we could afford ice cream!! : )

Jaxson celebrated his 7th birthday party today with friends and family. For his actual birth date we will be in Florida for Spring Break, so we decided to celebrate early. He had a pool party and invited all his friends in his class and a few party crashers (little brothers of his friends who are Maddy's age). They all had a great time swimming at the Aquatic Center for warm water weekend. They loved the blow-up pool obstacle course too! They swam, busted a candy filled pinata, ate cake, opened presents, and oops..didn't eat ice cream!

As all the kids and parents (more than a handful) sat in the party room as we cut and served cake, Jaxson announces loud and clear, "Sorry, we don't have ice cream, we couldn't afford it!" Jason and I laughed and were so embarrassed. The parents laughed too. I think my mom, dad, and sister had the best laugh! Oh, brother...good thing all the kids brought him gifts because we might not be able to afford to buy him any!!!! : )
