We spent a wonderful day at the Rio Grande Zoo with the Hooks Family. Jaxson (7) and Liam (7) enjoyed being "zoo buddies", playing their Nintendo DS side by side all the way to Albuquerque (without their little brothers, who were in the "mommy car"), and sipping milk shakes together at lunch. Maddox (3) and Eddie (4) enjoyed fighting over the "tiger ear muffs" in the car, running and climbing at the zoo (us moms constantly chasing them or getting them down from the "predator" safety barriers), taking turns steering the wheel of the car video game ( happily, with no money inserted), and passing out on the car ride home. Jason and I enjoyed the company and conversation with Sarah and Dan, parents of boys who live every day and night the way we do...full of boy energy, fights, messes, and the endless love we have for our sons!
Aaah! Very sweet. I love the photos of the "animals." All of the animals even the cute two footed kind.
