Anyone surprised? I guess taking them from their humid coastal habitat to the dry NM climate added to their shortened lifespan. Maddy's crab Pincher kicked the bucket first lasting about 2 weeks. When I told him, without skipping a beat he asked, "Can we buy a new one?" Obviously, he was not too attached. Jaxson was just happy it was not his crab who died. Unfortunately, Jax's crab Snapper joined his crab brother a week later. We knew it was not a good sign when one of his big pinchers fell off, poor little fella. So now we are crab free! For some being "crab free" could be a good thing! RIP Snapper & Pincher!
