The Duke City Marathon

This year I ran in my first marathon with a team of Piñon teachers.  I was apprehensive at first, but it was such a rewarding experience.  We had a group of 10 teachers and formed 2 relay teams.  I ran the first leg with my principal Jill.  I couldn't of run with a better partner.  We kept a steady pace and kept each other going.  My only goal for my first run was to not walk.  I accomplished my goal.   It was a beautiful October morning and a good bonding experience for our team of teachers.  We all work in and out together daily for kids, but it was nice to enjoy eachother outside of the classroom too!
