Today Jaxson and I had no school because the pipes busted in our school gym. The district also had a 2 hour delay for the freezing temps and the wind chill. Daddy was home on his day off, so we all four got to spend the day together. We joined Maddy at his school to celebrate Chinese New Year. They served all the kids fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, soup, and chow mein noodles. Maddy's not a picky eater (like his mom and brother) and tried all of his food. He loved that his big brother sat by him too! The kids made Chinese lucky money bags filled with candy. It was nice to spend some time just about Maddy and to meet some his new Ponderosa friends.
The boy's fortune cookies read:
Jaxson's - "If the cake is bad, what good is the frosting?"
Maddy's - "Courtesy is the best peace maker."

I LOVE your new blog background! And glad you got to spend the day with your family! The Chinese food looked yummy!
